In 2018, Larry commenced his political journey by running for the Maryland House of Delegates, vying to represent District 13, which spans areas such as Columbia, Elkridge, Long Reach, and Laurel within Howard County.

As a newcomer to Maryland politics, Larry made a significant impact, securing 3,110 votes (9.4%) in the Democratic Primary against all odds. Proud of the support he received, Larry's campaign emerged as a competitive force against a formidable three-candidate slate, featuring two incumbents and a county council member.

 

This achievement underscored Larry's ability to resonate with voters and establish a robust presence in the political landscape, marking the beginning of his impactful contributions to the community.
